Community Clean-up

Hi Everyone,

After attending the 1000 Islands Club meeting this morning, it was announced by Valerie Kines that the “Clean Up” will take place on Saturday, April 30th, 2011 and that we will all be meeting at the Employment and Education Centre.

Valerie also mentioned that this year we would not be coordinating with the Community Clean Up (something along those lines) and I missed, or it wasn’t said of where the actual target location of the clean-up was to be.

Remember your Rakes, Shovels, Gloves etc…

Shelter Boxes Donations to the Trust Acct.

Hi Everyone,

Alan and Rick have discussed another method of getting the money to the Shelter Box program for the Japan relief effort.

The cheques can be made out to the Brockville Rotary Club Charitable Trust, then Alan will issue a check from the Trust account to pay the Shelter Box program.

Shelter Box Emergency Appeal for the Japan Tsunami/Earthquake

Hi Everyone,

Bruce has asked that I pass the following information onto the membership.

Apparently there is not a donation form but I would suggest members write cheques to D5550 WCS Foundation – Shelter Box bring them into the club and then we can send them on as a group.
